Liverpool prepare offer for Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola

Liverpool are preparing an initial offer for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola following discussions with his representatives. Barcola is considered a primary target for Liverpool as they aim to enhance Andoni Iraola’s squad with a proven winger before the upcoming season.
Reports suggest that Barcola has verbally agreed to join Liverpool, though there is a notable difference in valuation between the two clubs. PSG has reportedly set a price of around £145m for Barcola, which would constitute a British record transfer fee.
The France international has two years remaining on his current contract with the European champions. However, he is believed to have declined a contract extension offer, having reportedly seen his position in Luis Enrique’s team diminish.
Transfer discussions and player interest
Liverpool has been exploring Barcola’s willingness to leave PSG for Anfield. After receiving indications that he is open to a move to the Premier League, Liverpool is anticipated to submit a bid for the 23-year-old in the coming days. While it remains uncertain if Liverpool will meet PSG’s valuation, the club intends to make Barcola their significant signing of the summer.
The potential transfer of Barcola to Liverpool could prompt Ligue 1 champions PSG to pursue Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, 19, from RB Leipzig. Diomande had previously been a target for Liverpool but is now expected to join Real Madrid after PSG withdrew from a deal for the player.
Liverpool has already secured the services of versatile forward Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna this summer and finalized Jérémy Jacquet’s transfer from Rennes for an initial £55m. Despite these additions, the club is looking to further strengthen both its attack and defence, with Iraola reportedly expressing concerns about his defensive options.
